I've been told it's a hardware limitation and that 'set ip
default next-hop' and 'set default interface' will not be
supported. They're not supported either on the (much older)
Catalyst 3550, so it's probably a hardware design choice.

FWIW, the Catalyst 4500 does support 'set ... default'.
