Hi,
I use a Baud reset Jumper in the 3640 motherboard and placed it in a different field that allowed me to boot to rommon and reloaded the router without using the startup conf.
So, I am back on the router again :)
What I don’t understand is this: why an NM-2V module will change the console baud settings of the router, any clues? And it is a physical change not software since I have tried all the settings on HyperTerminal.
Now, I will try to install the NM-2V module again and see what will happen.
Regards
Serge

Subject: [c-nsp] 3640 console issue
Hi Guys,
I have inserted an NM-2V module on 3640 running 12.3 plus image. When I boot the device, the console displays only garbage. I can't ping any interface on the router. I tried changing different console cables and console settings but no luck; I can't get to the router.
I have removed all modules on the router and also removed the flash to try to boot on rommon but no luck either, it only displays the bellow garbage:
¶JŸô ÷ ww÷÷w÷
þÐÛóóh°˜öû
Has anyone ever seen this?
Thanks
Serge
