I run 2 7206vxr NPE 400 routers with full BGP feeds from UUNET AT&T SPRINT
and Internet2 with no problems. 512 memory. I do not thing memory will be a
problem

Considering that a VXR with an NPE-300/256m with 2.75 views (168405,
167985, and 125670 routes), a relatively skinny IGP and no soft
reconfiguration (running 12.0S) looks like this:

               Head Total(b) Used(b) Free(b) Lowest(b) Largest(b)
Processor 613D70E0 214077216 158545420 55531796 7628008 21672644

... I have an awfully hard time believing that an NPE-400 with twice
as much memory is going to be at all tight.

:-)

(of course, if "might get tight" actually means "might get tight in a
few years", well yeah, I agree with you; if that's what you're looking
to avoid, get the npe-g1 with a gig)
