Since this seems to be my lucky day. can someone please confirm the
following scenario is feasible?

 

I have a SM fibre between two floors of a building. Can I connect Gig0/3 of
a 7206VXR/NPE-G1 to Gig0/1 of a 3524XL via this fibre, inserting a WS-G5486
in each of the two?

 

If yes, what model should I order? The product reference seems to be
"WS-G5486" for both SM and MM fibre.
