A problem (I think) for us is that we do a lot of MPLS VPN (DSL users in 
VRFs), and I don't know how nicely (if at all) l2tpns would play with 
that.  I know there has been some work on MPLS VPN support for Linux, but 
I've never tried it.

We don't have enough users for the load to be an issue.  Our biggest BBG 
agg router gets by as a VXR with NPE-225.  We've been talking about 
upgrading it to an NPE300 for quite a while, but we haven't been forced to 
yet.
