IMHO the thing that is really strange is not that the processing is on
the MSFC3 - rather that the traffic seems to be *process* switched
According to:
<http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/765/tools/quickreference/routerperformance.pdf>
Cisco rates the MSFC3 at 500Kpps for "software switched" packets and at
20Kpps for "process switched" packets
For comparison the RSP8 and RSP16 are rated at 22Kpps and 29Kpps
respectively for "process switched" packets
