[c-nsp] 6500 power funnies

We have three Cisco 6506s running 2500 watt PSUs. I have just picked up
on something rather odd, specifically one of them thinks that the power
supply does not exist. Here's a quick snippet from their "show power"
outputs.

System 1:
==========================================================
                        Power-Capacity PS-Fan Output Oper
PS Type Watts A @42V Status Status State
---- ------------------ ------- ------ ------ ------ -----
1    WS-CAC-2500W       2331.00 55.50  OK     OK     on
2    WS-CAC-2500W       2331.00 55.50  OK     OK     on
system power redundancy mode = redundant
==========================================================

System 2:
==========================================================
                        Power-Capacity PS-Fan Output Oper
PS Type Watts A @42V Status Status State
---- ------------------ ------- ------ ------ ------ -----
1    WS-CAC-2500W       2331.00 55.50  OK     OK     on
2    none
system power redundancy mode = redundant
system power redundancy operationally = non-redundant
==========================================================

System 3:
==========================================================
                        Power-Capacity PS-Fan Output Oper
PS Type Watts A @42V Status Status State
---- ------------------ ------- ------ ------ ------ -----
1    WS-CAC-2500W       2331.00 55.50  OK     OK     on
system power redundancy mode = redundant
==========================================================

The last system is the one that concerns me. It seems to indicate there
are two power supplies in it (which there are) and they are running
redundantly. However, the second PSU is not listed when running a "sh
power" command.

The problem comes when trying to start a new module. At the moment the
system as a Sup720 and 6816-GBIC card, when inserting a new 6748-SFP
card I get this error:

2d18h: %C6KPWR-SP-4-PSNOREDUNDANCY: Power supplies are not in full
redundancy, power usage exceeds lower capacity supply

This would seem to tie into the maths that inserting this card would
bring power usage above 50% of capacity. It seems as if the switch
thinks that is has two 1250 watt PSUs, instead of two 2500 watt PSUs.

Has anyone experienced similar before?
