[c-nsp] GRE question

Hi,

I have a router that have two interface. Interfaces have IPs assigned to
them and there is one Virtual IP. There is a GRE tunnel established between
VIP and remote router. Any packet coming to VIP comes via if-1. If-2 and
connected interface has been given higher cost. My question is : If the
packet is coming via GRE tunnel (ofcourse through if-1), can it go back from
the same interface if-1? or does the routing loop prevention scheme will
prevent it from going via if-1. Is GRE interface is considered as a separate
interface then if-1 and if-2? I have OSPF working in the network.
