That will stop it from completely disabling the SFPs, but it still comes 
with more than its fair share of annoyances. For example, rather than 
display the type of optic in any kind of useful place like "show interface 
status" it only displays "unapproved", leaving you to manually dig through 
a "show idprom" if you want to figure out what interface type a specific 
port is via the cli. It also scrolls the log with a dump of every 
unapproved SFP in the box every time you insert any new SFP, which can end 
up being downright obnoxious. :)
