Hi there, I just had a real quick issue; I am trying to
determine whether this is a hardware problem or a software revision
incompatability.

I believe my revision meets the requirements for this card: IOS (tm) GS
Software (GSR-P-M), Version 12.0(32)S1, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

Here is what I am seeing:

*Mar 14 15:15:06.432 EST: %RP-3-RETRY_DOWNLOAD: Begin attempt to start
the linecard in slot 2
SLOT 2:00:00:13: %SYS-5-RESTART: System restarted --
Cisco Internetwork Operating System Software
IOS (tm) GS Software (GLC1-LC-M), Version 12.0(32)S1, RELEASE SOFTWARE

*Mar 14 15:19:18.930 EST: %RP-4-RSTSLOT: Resetting the card in the slot:
2,Event: linecard error report
*Mar 14 15:19:18.942 EST: %LCINFO-3-CRASH: Line card in slot 2 crashed
*Mar 14 15:19:39.018 EST: %LCINFO-6-ZERO_BYTE_CI_FILE: Crashinfo dumping
failed. Closing file bootflash:crashinfo_20060314-201923.2
Reason: RP timed out waiting for crashinfo data from LC

So the card ran for about 15 seconds before it died hurray ! ;-)

Anyway, We've tried the card in a different slot.

Any advice besides "that card sucks, use a newer one" would be helpful
(I know its old :-) ) If it is bad hardware we'll replace it for sure!

Thanks,
Andrew
