According to
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps133/prod_installation_guide09186a0080525aba.html

Each PRE is implemented on two printed circuit board assemblies:

•Forwarding path (FP) card — Contains the backplane interconnect and the
parallel express forwarding network processor (PXF).

•Route processing (RP) card — Contains the configuration and management route
processing engine. The RP card plugs into the FP card.

About the PRE's serial number, i would go for the RP one, but to be sure you'd
better provide both.
