Thanks for all of your replies.
I'am a little bit surprised that this feature is only supported with
12.4(x)T. However, thanks for that hint. I will look at this.

P.S.: I agree with Gert, you can not guarantee symetric routing.
One little error is enough to let the stanby router be active for a 
short time and then back to standby. In this moment you have a half open
session on the standby router and a packet out of syn at the active
router.
