Works fine on SXF.  Remember to "no switchport" your interface.  Also  
remember that Subint x is not unique to the interface - it uses the  
global vlan pool.  I'd been thinking about using a 6500 with sub-ints  
to pick up customers from external sources over Dot1Q trunks but then  
you remember that a 6500 is not a "real" router and provider A's  
vlans can have namespace clashes with provider B's vlans.  Time to  
fire up a 7200.
