Please forgive me if this seems like a stupid question, but I cannot
seem to locate the answer:
Cisco has issues a Field Notice
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps708/products_field_notice09186a008065af2e.shtml
Bug ID (CSCsd16853)
stating that if you intend to run a WS-X6148X2-RJ-45 card that you
cannot use IOS versions 12.2(18)SXF, 12.2(18)SXF1 or 12.2(18)SXF2 and
that you must upgrade to IOS 12.2(18)SXF3 or later software version to
resolve the problem. It also states that the IOS versions Affected are
12.2(18)SXF, 12.2(18)SXF1, and 12.2(18)SXF2.
My questions is this - we are running an earlier version of IOS -
12.2(18)SXD7 - does this mean that all IOS versions below 12.2(18)SXF
have the bug as well and we would need to upgrade to 12.2(18)SFX3 or
later to run the cards or ONLY IOS versions 12.2(18)SXF, 12.2(18)SXF1, and 12.2(18)SXF2
are affected and we do not need to worry about this issue at all while
running 12.2(18)SXD7..?
Thanks Everyone !
