We also recently looked at M / T class J boxes and the new baby CRS  
but it's really hard to go past the 6500 / 7600 in a pure ethernet  
environment.  The others just didn't come close in the 'bang per  
buck' metric.  But, that said and to reference Richard Steenbergen's  
email in this thread, I just don't have the 'testicular fortitude' to  
run SRA on anything that even looks slightly like a production box  :-)
