The "sh ver" on

shows a MPC7448 CPU at 1.6 Ghz, this is the same as NPE-G2. Moreover the
"sh interfaces" output shows a Marvell MV64460 system controller, still
as the NPE-G2.This tends to confirm your hypothesis.
