Pete,

Great comment. I just want to add that the E3 does support L2TPv3
natively but can not be used a tunnel server card for GRE.

Read the damn question.  The subject line clearly says GRE tunnel on GSR
- if you're not labbing up the same scenario, don't contribute FUD.

For the unaware, GSRs need a dedicated OC48 Engine2 or Engine3 card as a
tunnel server card.  The card CAN'T be used for an actual live OC48; it
has to be specially configured as a TSC.  GSRs don't run IOS 12.3, and
even if you were labbing up a GSR on an appropriate IOS and using a GRP
in slot0 and its companion E0/0, it wouldn't have full reachability.
