no! They can't... if you try and put more than 4 or 5 ports into "NNI"
mode, the switch tells you Nonono! (we got burned by this...)
I guess the backplane in those ME switches is limited...
You'd need to go with the 3550 DC at minimum. (that's what we use for DC
powered 24 port switches)
