Hi all

Just had too reboot a 6503 Sup32 12.2(18)SXF7 last night.

When I got there the unit was in ROMMON and not very responsive.

We power cycled it and it booted fine.

Earlier that day it was at 40Mb free memory and the log stated that it
could not allocate memory (in the end even 248byte was too much).

After reboot its at 155Mb free and 144Mb Largest.
Now its at 151Mb free and 144Mb Largest.

The Unit runs BGP (2 full feeds) and iBGP routes (ca150) over OSPF.

The new thing is 2 GRE-multipoint tunnels:

interface Tunnel101
  description FastIP GRE Secondary
  ip address xx.xx.xx.xx 255.255.255.0
  no ip redirects
  ip mtu 1472
  ip nhrp authentication secret
  ip nhrp map multicast dynamic
  ip nhrp network-id xxx
  ip nhrp holdtime 300
  no ip mroute-cache
  ip ospf network broadcast
  ip ospf cost 20
  delay 1000
  tunnel source Loopback2
  tunnel mode gre multipoint
  tunnel key xxxxxxx

at the time it also had "no ip route-cache" (got that from an old
config) but I removed it today.

There are two of these.

Does anyone have a clue as too why its fragging memory?

Best regards
