Maya,
I would recommend the "anycast RP" approach. I think its more common,
and personally, I think its easier to maintain.

Subject: [c-nsp] Multicast and VPNs
Hello all,
I am configuring IP multicast with VPNs. I have a question. I know its
possible to do rendezvous point configuration (autoRP annoucements,
autoRP discovery, RP configuration, MSDP configuration) on a per-VRF
basis. My question is, is this commonly used in current deployments?
The commands I am talking about are
ip pim vrf ExampleVRF send-rp-announce ...
ip pim vrf ExampleVRF send-rp-discovery ...
ip pim vrf ExampleVRF rp-address ...
ip msdp vrf ExampleVRF peer ...
ip msdp vrf ExampleVRF originate-id ...
Thank you!
Maya
