My understanding of the sup720 boot process is that the switch boots 
first, then loads the real IOS and passes control to the MSFC.  Would rp 
rom-mon code ever actually get executed?

Is c6msfc3-rm2.srec.122-17r.SX5 what you put on the rp rom-mon?
