[c-nsp] ACE and "mac-sticky enable"

I hope some Application Control Engine Module Experts
are also on this list.

 To enable reverse-path forwarding (RPF) based on a
source MAC address for a VLAN interface, use the mac-sticky enable command in interface
configuration mode. By default, RPF is disabled on the ACE. The syntax for
this command is: 

mac-sticky enable

Can anybody explain me, how this command works in detail if it's
enabled on a VLAN Interface?!
