[c-nsp] GigE input/output errors

 I would suspect the negotiation, our 7206 to 6513 gig links are setup
like this and we have no problems;

7206VXR with NPE-300 and gig card;

interface GigabitEthernet2/0
 description connection to RC-blah1 Gig9/13
 ip address xxx.xxx.xxx.6 255.255.255.252
 negotiation auto
!

Cat 6513 Sup 2

interface GigabitEthernet9/13
 description connection to RC-blah2 Gig2/0
 ip address xxx.xxx.xxx.5 255.255.255.252

 We have no errors on these links and they typically run 300Mbps+
throughput all day long.

 It appears from the config below that you are attempting to force speed
and duplex on the 7200 but not on the 6500 - in my experience this will
always result in errors.

Good luck
rick

Subject: [c-nsp] GigE input/output errors

Hi folks...

I'm looking for troubleshooting ideas on this one...

Cisco 6509 GigE to Cisco 7206VXR GigE at layer3

Getting a lot of errors on both sides of the link... looking to figure
out
why...:)

thanks in advance,

Paul
