No tunnel. Only the data segment of the packet is compressed - headers are
left alone. This lets the router still do QoS, etc.

We have it working for a number of customers. Performance varies depending
on traffic mix. One customer saw backup times for a remote site reduced from
13 hours to 1.5 hours.
Overall, pretty good. Admin interface is a bit quirky. Make sure you get all
the boxes time synched.
