I don't really track the 4500 in roadmap meetings, but on the Sup6-E data
sheet  couldn't help but notice (if for no other reason than the name):

      starting with the Cisco Catalyst 4500 with Cisco IOS Software
      Release 12.2(40)SG, the Supervisor Engine 6-E offers Quack
      support, which detects, disables, and logs counterfeit components.

...does anyone have more background? Counterfeit PA's and WIC's are easy
enough to come by, but are 4000 line cards common enough for this to make
sense, or is this a solution in search of a problem.
