[c-nsp] Real performance of 3DES traffic through 2821?

Hello!

By looking at Ciscos performance numbers for 2821, both
for unencrypted traffic and for encrypted traffic, we got
the impression that 2821 with AIM-VPN would be usable for
at least 60-70 Mbps of encrypted traffic. Then we had a
meeting with a company (not Cisco) that had actually tried
this in their lab. They said that 2821 with AIM-VPN/SSL-2 is
fine for encrypted traffic in the 20-30 Mbps range, not much
higher. I'm interested in other performance numbers for an
upcoming design decision.

Equipment recommendations for this scenario would be very much
appreciated:
Two central offices with 1 Gbps Ethernet between them.
Each central office has 100 Mbps Ethernet lines to 10-15 branch offices.
All traffic is encrypted.
We have been considering 2821 or 2851 at the branch offices,
and 7600 at the central offices.

Thanks!
