Technically the versions are BFD 0 and BFD 1. I think it's actually the other way around in that Cisco only supports BFD 0 in most platforms. We've tried to use BFD version 1 on Foundry switches in conjunction with Cat6500's without success because of this. The Foundry only supports version 1 and until recent code, Cisco only supports version 0.
