[c-nsp] Managed, cheap, DC powered switch

I work for a telco and have a need for cheap managed switches that are
DC powered.  Cisco's line up is a 2950-24-DC.

I am looking for something with:
 * Better port density (48 ports per 1U).
 * IOS like configuration (not needed, but would be nice not to
crosstrain my team)
 * CHEAP.  The gear is mostly just for monitoring and big backplanes
and features are not really needed.

I was wondering if anyone here has a similar issue with cisco devices
and any alternatives they may have come across.
