They are definitely trying to get people to migrate towards the ACE appliance that don't have 6500's. The licensing thing I find annoying but I guess it keeps it affordable for a company that may only need 100MB of 500MB of throughput from the device. They were (as of a month or so ago) also including training in the purchase, so you could go to their local facility and one of their third party vendors would give you training on the product. That's pretty cool. Not a deal breaker by any means, but pretty cool.
