The output buffers of ports on this card are small (128Kbyte).

So if you have "bursty" traffic coming in from lots of other ports, or
from GigE ports, like "500 kbyte coming in from a GigE port in a back-to
back burst of UDP packets", the switch will not be able to buffer, and
will drop the packets.

5 minute average counters won't really help you diagnose this - the
port could be sitting idle for 4:50 minutes, and getting a traffic burst
for 10 seconds...
