[c-nsp] NPE-G1 high CPU utilization due to 'BGP Router'

Hi,
I've got several C7200VXR with NPE-G1 and IOS 12.4(17) running BGP. On nearly
all of these the CPU due to the process 'BGP Router' is below 4% - even at an
IX with about 230 peering sessions.
But on one Router it is abnormaly high since some weeks:
CPU utilization for five seconds: 34%/8%; one minute: 30%; five minutes: 31%
PID Runtime(ms) Invoked uSecs 5Sec 1Min 5Min TTY Process
183 1023798200 148554063 6891 24.96% 17.16% 18.50% 0 BGP Router
41 78650604 9684235 8121 0.90% 0.92% 0.92% 0 Per-Second Jobs
185 19365496 117660678 164 0.40% 0.46% 0.47% 0 BGP I/O
61 12146332 146022603 83 0.24% 0.21% 0.22% 0 IP Input
This router has only 33 peering sessions, nothing relevant in the logs, 1GB
RAM.
Only difference I'm seeing: On this router I'm useing an outbound as-path
filter-list together with a prefix-list instead of just a prefix-list to an
upstream.
Now I'm searching for the cause of this high cpu utilization and am hoping for
some advice where to look next to narrow down th problem.
Regards
