Mike,

We only are redistributing static and connected routes, the code version is:

(1) Ws-3550-24-EMI (C3550-IPSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.2(25) SEE2

Thanks.

What code are you running on the devices? I had a similar issues with an ISR
and 3750 switch. Turned out to be something to do with how we redistributing
BGP into EIGRP. We were advertising internal eigrp routes into bgp using the
network statement against a summary address that was being pitched from the
downstream 3750. We instituted a redistribute eigrp under the bgp
configuration instead of using the network statement and did mutual
redistribution from bgp to eigrp and eigrp to bgp and the problem cleared
up. It only occured with us during SRST testing when we bounced the serial
interface the problem would start up. We were running 12.2(25)SEE code on
the 3750 and the 12.4(15)T1 on the ISR 2851. Might be related.

Subject: [c-nsp] Eigrp K-value mismatch

Hello,

We have EIGRP in our network, 4 weeks ago we are having troubles because
eigrp restart with k value mismatch, but we verify every router and this
value are the same, after few seconds the session is established again but
this behavior repeat every 4 or 6 hours.

Also looking information at Cisco site, we found that a new feature good bye
messages could cause this type of message but without affect the
functionality of eigrp.

"Note The receipt of a goodbye message by a nonsupporting peer does not
disrupt normal network operation. The nonsupporting peer will terminate
session when the hold timer expires. The sending and receiving routers will
reconverge normally after the sender reloads."

Also when this occur both cisco 1721 restart the eigrp session.
