IOS 12.2(35)SE5 does for the 3750s yeah, but since Ethernet strictly
speaking never is a point-to-point interface, I don't think Cisco
supports it. Configuring it gives:

Switch(config)#interface GigabitEthernet1/0/1
Switch(config-if)#no switchport
Switch(config-if)#ip address 10.0.0.0 255.255.255.254
% Warning: use /31 mask on non point-to-point interface cautiously
Switch(config-if)#do show version
Cisco IOS Software, C3750 Software (C3750-IPBASEK9-M), Version
12.2(35)SE5, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
<snip>

But it should work. :-)

Regards,
Peter
