I think he means across all platforms the MAC address should be 
formatted the same.

More generally, I wish IOS was more consistent.  Such as the use "mask" 
or "netmask" in various places.

I also wish that the new features weren't always released in a 
"half-way" fashion.  So "yay!" Cisco can do xyz, but only with numbered 
ACLs, or the feature can only be bound to a loopback, or VRFs are not 
supported.  Until 10 releases later.

All that being said, Cisco has the richest feature set there is, so 
obviously getting everything integrated with all the other features 
probably takes a long time.
