[c-nsp] sup720 errors - parity

Paul,
If this is related to the OIR (online insertion and removal) of the MSFC
or MSFC version 2, I would tread softly wearing a static strap during
the seating of these blades. This can occur when static discharge, or
other anomalies, i.e., solar flare ups, cosmic radiation, totally, :-)
damages ASICS or DIMMS on the blade. Secondly, parity mem in DIMM form
factors, are available for MSFC2, if you are using these in your
hardware, hence, the %SYSTEM_CONTROLLER-SP-STDBY-3-ERROR: Error
condition
detected: TM_DATA_PARITY_ERROR messaging....this is available in
iterations above 128MB, which are limited only to the MSFCv1. If you
want a more detailed output for issues regarding DIMMS or processes, use
SH DIAG or SH PROCESSES. Moreover, you may need to replace the MSFC,
I'd monitor the syslog to determine if this is recurrent. It will
confirm if it is a hardware or board-level issue. So in a word, I'd
replace the blade.
