That's a very nice document. :-) (Hadn't seen it before.)

However, it doesn't really explain what the RSP720 is, as far as I can
see. This link explains the features of RSP720, SUP720 and SUP32:

This phrase from the document puts it well:

"The route switch processor is the newest version of supervisor engine."

The RSP720 is "just" a faster processor, newer (better/more
features/less stable?) MSFC (the "router" part) and a slightly enhanced
Policy Feature Card (PFC3C) compared to the Sup720-3B(XL).

And the RSP720 is prettier. :-)
