I need some clarification with some general LACP principles. 

I have a cisco switch talking to a load balancer (F5). both sides are in active mode. There are four links making up the bundle and the F5 LTM load balancer is the Actor. What happens when I administrataively shutdown link 1?

a) The Cisco device sends a LACP packet across one of the other links with the collecting bit set to disabled. The LB device responds with the collecting bit disabled.

b) The Cisco device does not send any notifications about the link being down and leaves the notifications to the  Actor (load balancer) in this situation.

c) other

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
