Indeed, that too and the (much anticipated) promise of hot-patching never seemed
to materialize. To the best of my knowledge, there hasn't been a single PSIRT
announcement that was patchable and didn't require a traditional upgrade. Have I
not looked closely enough, or did I just misinterpret the original fanfare?
