Please make sure you understand your reasons for doing so clearly before
you get started with this, examples:

Good reasons:

 - Want to completely re-engineer the IGP nondisruptively (leverage
admin-distance)

 - Want to merge with another IS-IS network which can't migrate to OSPF

Bad reasons:

 - Want to switch on LDP but don't want loads of FECS (bad: use
advertise filter)

 - Want to move to IPv6 (bad, try OSPFv3)

 - Our new-guy only understands IS-IS (bad: get a new new-guy)

etc..
