Hi Folks,

I'm looking for some feedback on the N5K/2K fex deployments in DC
space. Main drivers behind this type of deployment is better ROI from
a FCOE perspective and reducing cabling costs through TOR. Considering
5K's can't do L3 and Unified Fabric is still a few years away from
realization, are there any environments that are evaluating/using this
solution in production and what has been the experience.

Has there been any shortcomings sw/hardware/features/stability wise
and how were they mitigated. Since this design inherently extends STP
domain from Core/Distribution to the access, have there been any
negatives in that regard. Has VPC been used for Active/Active
uplinking, any caveats.

Ultimately, have anybody opted for the standard EOR/MOR aggregation
strategy with pulling copper from server racks to the Aggregation
directly over this solution for any technical/strategic reasons.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Josh
