[c-nsp] 6513 config register... scratching head a little.

Hi all,

I'm in the process of migrating a 6513 from a Sup2 to a Sup32, and I've
found myself in a bit of a funny situation where I'm questioning the boot
config on a device for rollback planning. This is probably a very easy one,
but I'm just a bit uneasy about this particular chassis.

Basically I'm just trying to confirm that despite the fact that this 10 meg
file is called 'bootflash', with the config register set the way it is, and
the boot system statements in the config set the way they are, if I need to
slide the old sup back in, it'll default boot off of this supposed
'bootflash' image despite it not being specified. My suspicion is that it
was renamed file since it's almost identical in size to the 8.6(4) .bin
image, but whether or not this was a forced manual boot two years ago I am
not certain.

I'm also eyeballing the CONFIG_FILE variable with some uncertainty.
I *think* I need to clean that up. Switch is in binary config
mode/non-recurring fwiw.

So, here is my sh version (notice system boot image file),

WS-C6513 Software, Version NmpSW: 8.6(4)
Copyright (c) 1995-2007 by Cisco Systems
NMP S/W compiled on Dec 12 2007, 22:22:28
System Bootstrap Version: 7.1(1)
System Boot Image File is 'bootflash:bootflash'
System Configuration register is 0x2102

here's a dir bootflash: all,

SW_2 (enable) dir bootflash: all
Directory of bootflash:/
-#- ED --type-- --crc--- -seek-- nlen -length- -----date/time------ name
  1 .D ffffffff ec066cf4 a3e638 24 10216888 Oct 28 2006 06:10:50
cat6000-sup2k8.8-5-1.bin
  2 .. ffffffff 2a96273d 146a374 9 10665148 Nov 14 2008 16:59:11
bootflash

Boot system commands & sh boot,

#set boot command
set boot config-register 0x2102
set boot system flash bootflash:cat6000-sup2k8.8-6-4.bin
set boot system flash bootflash:cat6000-sup2k8.8-5-1.bin
set boot system flash bootflash:cat6000-sup2k8.8-2-2.bin
SW_2 (enable) sh boot
BOOT variable =
bootflash:cat6000-sup2k8.8-6-4.bin,1;bootflash:cat6000-sup2k8.8-5-1.bin,1;bootflash:cat6000-sup2k8.8-2-2.bin,1;
CONFIG_FILE variable = bootflash:switch.cfg
Configuration register is 0x2102
ignore-config: disabled
auto-config: non-recurring, overwrite, sync disabled
ROMMON console baud: 9600
boot: image specified by the boot system commands
Image auto sync is enabled
Image auto sync timer is 120 seconds
Thanks in advance,
Ryan
