Apart from the wise words of Oli, beware that the local router always
_allocates_ labels for all the prefixes in the IGP. You can adjust
what's advertised, but (until recently) not what's locally allocated.

If you're lucky enough to have an IOS release supporting selective label
allocation you can do that too though. Take a look at:
