For the FIB sizes involved in typical edge termination, so
350k of prefixes, the performance impact on forwarding for
empty or such size FIB is not noticeable thanks to the way
CEF works. The MPLS services are also in the CEF forwarding
path.

Bear in mind however that any added services like ACLs, QoS
will have an impact of the forwarding performance, as this
is CPU-forwarding router, not something with hardware data
plane.
