Hi Mark,
I have not seen any customer issues reported on EVC Xconnect feature
supported in 15.1(2)EY.
I'll let you know if I hear anything.

Ah okay - we've been installing both the MPLS and 10Gbps license at the
same time, and running a reload. We haven't yet installed the licenses
separately, so didn't test a more efficient way to bring 10Gbps ports
into action. Thanks for that, Waris.

That's right.
Our initial tests were all based on 1Gbps uplinks using the 10Gbps
ports. That works fine.
We've just had a couple of units that seem to have bad uplink ports that
read very low Tx output (-40dBm), to the extent of complete inability to
function. Those have been RMA'd. Bad batch?
Apart from that, they work, along with OEM optics.

Waris, we prefer the EVC Xconnect feature, to limit configuration
redundancy. It brings other problems (initially, anyway), but seems
simpler. We're currently testing this as 15.1(2)EY has just come out,
and we're forwarding production traffic on 12.2(52)EY2, which doesn't
have this feature.
Any issues to look out for with EVC Xconnect in the early days of the
code?
Cheers,
Mark.
