If this is a non-cisco SFP/GBIC then you will see this because it is
misidentified.   Try these commands:

First see if this helps:

service-unsupported transceiver

You might also, want these commands as well:

no errdisable detect cause gbic-invalid
errdisable recovery cause all
errdisable recovery interval 30
