Thanks for the reply - can pass 1500:
#ping xxx.xxx.66.62 size 1500 df-bit repeat 100

Type escape sequence to abort.Sending 100, 1500-byte ICMP Echos to xxx.xxx.66.62, timeout is 2 seconds:Packet sent with the DF bit set!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Success rate is 100 percent (100/100), round-trip min/avg/max = 16/16/20 ms
