[c-nsp] Cisco IP Phones & 3rd Party access points?

Cisco documention states that they only support Cisco access points with
their IP phones (ex: 7921/7925).  Is there any reason that other 3rd party
access points such as HP, Aerohive etc wouldn't work with these phones?

Does anyone have any experience using other vendors APs with these  phones?
