Yep, that's right, Gert. 

In order to support G.709 + FEC on the ASR9000, you need the 
A9K-ADV-OPTIC-LIC license to be installed - on every line 
card that you will be using colored optics.

We either go dark, or have our own optical system to do 
this. No way we're paying Cisco for that :-).
