Hi Anton.

Yes you are correct.
I have GigE port facing LAC. And only 10Mpbs is allocated for this connection.
I want to ensure voice gets prioritized and so on...
I have original TOS headers reflected on the tunnel headers already.

and so that I understand -- is the intent here to ensure the total
transmitted packets in l2tp towards the lac does not exceed a given
total less than the gige port?

if yes, then also note 'qos pre-classify' may be required on the
virtual-templates, as this shaper would not normally see "inside" of
the l2tp ip packet.

presumably, if you're shaping your aggregate tx'd bits towards the
lac(s), you'd want to do some amount of fair-queue or flow based wred,
not simply fifo it arbitrarily deeply in the policy map...
