Hi MKS,

I believe that card only has a 1G fabric shared between 8 ports each. Therefor I don't believe you could do 2 simultaneous gig streams as you have suggested.

I may be wrong though ;)

Subject: [c-nsp] 6148 L2 local switching?

A popular topic, I know, but I have a question that I can't find an answer to in previous discussions.

In a given port-group, let's say 1-8, and all the ports are switchports in the same vlan.
can port 1-> port2 reach a gig throughput at the same time as port 3->port4.

In other words, this this card capable of L2 local switching? or does every packet go to the sup and back?

Regards
MKS
